Vernier Diesel Man Car
Status: Operational This
former BHP man car worked at the BHP Elouera Colliery and was built by
Vernier Engineering of Wollongong. After arriving at the ILRMS, it was
chosen to be converted to operate on our 2ft gauge mainline track.
The conversion for two foot gauge operation and a mechanical overhaul
is now complete. The unit had a complete repaint and has successfully
been trialed on the ILRMS track.
It is operational on some runnings days and is used during the school holidays. |
