Balls Head Hoppers

These hoppers were used at Balls Head Waverton Sydney from 1920 until 197? for transportation of coal to the ship bunkers.

The system of operation ran on a 20" gauge wire hauling system.

Two hoppers were donated to the ILRMS in 1976 for preservation and they are both on display.
